Formalogistics drives training in transportation and logistics with advanced technologies

The vocational training center provides an immersive learning experience with Mecalux software.

Formalogistics

The Formalogistics vocational training center has implemented Easy WMS software in three warehouses in the Île-de-France region. Students learn to follow the system’s instructions and control traceability in facilities that replicate real warehouse environments.

Training for logistics and transportation professionals

Formalogistics is a network of training centers specializing in logistics, transportation, and occupational safety and health. With 12 schools in France (eight in the Île-de-France region), it offers theoretical, practical, and continuing education courses to facilitate employment in these sectors. Formalogistics is part of Pégase Groupe, an organization dedicated to vocational training, which also includes CAB Formations and Aléo Prévention centers. Founded in 2018, Formalogistics has a yearly enrollment of 60,000-plus students and vocational centers in the Île-de-France, Grand Est, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Hauts-de-France regions.

CHALLENGES

  • Train the logistics professionals of tomorrow using real warehouse management software.
  • Modernize training programs by integrating the industry’s latest technologies.

SOLUTION

  • Easy WMS warehouse management system.

BENEFITS

  • Develop skills in computerized warehouse management, supporting studies in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Hands-on training focused on overcoming the challenges of modern logistics.

In a globalized world, logistics has become fundamental for business success. In the Formalogistics vocational training center, future professionals of this sector prepare to take on the challenges of a constantly changing market. “Warehouses play a crucial role as the intersection between the supply chain and customer satisfaction,” says Wilhem Nacibide, an instructor in this network of training centers.

Formalogistics courses include the French CACES® certificate of aptitude for safe driving, essential for meeting safety regulations when operating material handling equipment in logistics environments. “Our training enables operators to be qualified in the safe and efficient handling of machinery,” says Nacibide.

Technological training in warehouses

Technology advancements have revolutionized warehouse management. Transportation and logistics courses train future professionals to leverage innovations that optimize processes such as storage, order processing, and shipping.

To learn how to supervise logistics operations, students use the Easy WMS warehouse management system in three Formalogistics facilities in Île-de-France. These spaces replicate real-world environments, allowing students to practice and gain experience in various intralogistics processes within a controlled setting.

“With Easy WMS, our students gain firsthand insight into the comprehensive management of a digitalized facility. They familiarize themselves with tasks such as inventory organization and order fulfillment. This hands-on training approach not only enhances their technical skills — it also prepares them to tackle real-world challenges in the sector,” says Gilbert Bellonne, a Formalogistics instructor.

Today’s students, tomorrow’s logistics professionals

Training is vital for future employees to learn how to operate WMS software and make the most of its capabilities. Easy WMS is so intuitive that it makes teaching students how to use the system much easier.

“With Easy WMS, we recreate the daily operations of a real warehouse. Our students become familiar with a wide range of tasks, including receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment,” says Formalogistics instructor Cyril Messe.

The software equips trainees with the skills they need to manage inventory in real time and complete orders more quickly. Students follow Easy WMS’s instructions on their RF scanners, learning how to carry out daily operations in any logistics facility.

Thanks to the Mecalux solution, Formalogistics trainees are capable of working with a WMS widely used in warehouses across numerous industries worldwide. Graduates gain a competitive edge that enables them to enter the job market with the right skills, boosting productivity and reducing errors in businesses.
