Unior to increase productivity in two warehouses with Easy WMS

The forged parts manufacturer will install Easy WMS in two warehouses

Forged parts manufacturer Unior, advised by technology company Špica, will digitalize two of its logistics centers in Zreče (Slovenia) with Mecalux’s warehouse management system. One facility stores finished goods, while the other stores forging tools.

“As automotive suppliers, traceability, diverse client packaging, and product labeling are critical for us. Easy WMS will help us organize operations and optimize our entire supply chain,” says Boštjan Črešnar, Material and Production Planning Manager at Unior.

The new logistics software will integrate with Unior’s Oracle EBS ERP system to boost productivity and eliminate errors in both facilities. In the finished goods warehouse, Easy WMS will oversee all operations, from the receipt of manufactured items to their storage and shipment. “Most of our clients have specific labeling requirements. Mecalux’s system will automatically generate labels in compliance with VDA and Odette standards for the automotive industry,” says Črešnar.

In Unior’s warehouse, Easy WMS will be primarily tasked with organizing goods strategically for easy retrieval and timely delivery to production when required. “The system will track product status and location in real time,” says Črešnar.
